City officials and staff recognize the importance of staying proactive in the maintenance of our City streets, roads and alleyways. On November 9, 2009 City Council voted to approve a 10 Year Road Improvement Plan designed to strategically guide the allocation of City resources in road maintenance. The plan was developed with the input of City Council, City staff and engineering firm Rhutasel & Associates. The plan identifies and prioritizes high traffic roads for the purpose of benefiting the largest amount of residents and travelers possible. I am more concerned with what is UNDER THE ROAD that needs improvement.
"A cake is never iced before it is baked", so why should a road be overlaid without new water and sewer lines buried first ? Is that too logical ?
You got the money for both? I guess we can lay new water lines and sewer lines then drive on dirt roads till we get the money to repave. "You can't have your cake and eat it too."
Typical city government thinking, I am not surprised at all.
